Our personal journey, your dedicated support
The inspiration for The Petite Plate comes from a deeply personal place. About Bariatric Meal Plan
We are a dedicated team committed to crafting exceptional experiences. Our focus lies in providing reliable and innovative solutions, driven by a deep respect for quality and a genuine desire to exceed expectations.
A 1200 - calorie bariatric meal plan emphasizes high-protein, low-fat, low sugar meals with small, frequent portions to support weight loss and post surgery nutrition.
KEY PRINCIPLES
1. Protein-focused meals: Prioritize lean protein sources such as chicken, turkey, fish, eggs, low-fat dairy, and protein supplements to maintain muscle mass and promote satiety
2. Vegetables and fiber: Include non-starchy vegetables for vitamins, minerals, and fiber while keeping calories low
3. Healthy fats: Use minimal healthy fats (e.g., 1 tsp butter or olive oil) to enhance flavor and satiety without exceeding calorie limits
4. Hydration and vitamins: Drink at least 64 oz of fluids daily and take bariatric-specific vitamins to meet micronutrient needs

Plate Composition
Protein (50% of the plate): Lean protein sources such as chicken, fish, eggs, tofu, or low-fat dairy should fill about half of the plate. This typically amounts to 3–4 ounces per meal and is essential for muscle preservation and satiety
Vegetables and fruits (30% of the plate): Non-starchy vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, and leafy greens provide fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Some low-sugar fruits may be included in this section
Starchy carbohydrates (20% of the plate): Whole grains, rice, pasta, or starchy vegetables are included in small amounts to provide energy and fiber. Healthy fats, such as olive oil or avocado, can be added in moderation (1–2 tablespoons) for flavor.
Some dietitians may adjust these proportions based on individual needs, sometimes increasing protein to 70% and reducing carbohydrates to improve hunger control and portion management
